Singapore is a great place to live while studying Chinese! Restaurants, bars, museums and attractions galore!

Easy metro transportation anywhere, clean and safe. The people are very friendly and almost all speak Chinese and English.

My teacher Tim was patient and persistent, he worked me hard but was patient and kind when I was flustered. The manner of instruction is terrific!

It advances you quickly through grammar pronunciation and vocabulary. Best of all it is all intuitive and not based on studying a textbook.

I only wish could keep learning at this rate for longer than my brief two week sojourn!!

I’m sixty-nine but would like to continue in the future!

My fellow students were all super nice and we had so much fun on Mondays and Fridays! They are all very serious hard working people and it was fun to meet them even with a 40 yr age gap!

Andreas supports everyone and makes us feel like a family! My love to all!!

My first two weeks in Singapore were better than I expected. For someone who is very passionate about studying Chinese like me, these two weeks couldn’t have been better.

From talking to my host mom from day until night, ordering food in Chinese, or just strolling around the market talking to the store clarks.

My brain has changed it’s language settings into Chinese.

I was “forced” to jump into the deep-end of the Chinese speaking pool and found myself getting headaches from speaking Chinese all day. I absolutely loved it.

On the first day, I was welcomed warmly by my homestay family. They gave me my own room and thankfully my own air conditioner.

Rayna, her son Casper and Nancy, their helper, have been amazing in my settling me into Singapore.

The in-person classes are my favorite. The classes are great and she even gives me snacks. Online is still very good and also worth it. 

I arrived as an almost complete beginner and my classes have increased my mandarin level to the point where I can converse on a basic level with my homestay, which is where I get most of my out of class practice.

I have studied at LTL for about two years and had a great experience. Teachers are super professional, speak good English and tailor the lessons to suit you and your learning needs.

Everyone is really nice and evening classes are at convenient times and remote classes can be tailored to your schedule.

I think what I liked most was the customisability of the curriculum according to your needs and the general flexibility on when and how to take classes.

Although they do have a solid curriculum to follow in a normal case, I can discuss with my tutor the topics I would like to talk about.

While I am not a beginner, I was still pretty undirected and knew my pronunciation was not good.

My teacher has done wonders to help string together my words and straighten out my wrong pronunciation.

Because of this flexibility, I think it doesn’t matter whether you are an advanced Chinese speaker or a total beginner, the school will be able to help you.

If you have any Chinese aspirations at all – just call and have a trial lesson. With some dedication, the school just might be your ticket to fluency 😉

I am thrilled with the progress I am making. My teacher Timothy is great.

He is a master of Mandarin and someone who appears to know something about nearly every topic I want to discuss.

Being able to discuss my professional work, hobbies and interests alongside the formal course work, vocabulary and grammar we go through makes the classes and learning experience much more engaging.

His patience and precision are exceptional.

Sometimes after a long week I found myself being a bit slow and can get a little frustrated with myself.

Timothy always knows how to adjust and ensure we maximize the class time.

I always walk out of class feeling supported and looking forward to the next one.

Having studied Chinese at a few other language centres and at a university in China, I was reluctant to spend the money for LTL as it’s at the higher end of the budget.

However, I’m very glad I did. I’ve made more progress here than anywhere else and it was worth every penny. Attention to detail, teachers who actually listen to what you want (not doing dictation 4 hours a day), and communication with staff is excellent.

You get what you pay for here. I would definitely recommend LTL to anyone that wants a premium learning experience.

I had a really great experience with LTL Singapore!

My Chinese has improved a lot in the last 6 months. I studied a hybrid of online and offline classes with LTL Singapore and their Flexi Classes program.

This hybrid course allowed me to have a flexible schedule when studying online, which I needed with my work schedule, and then I practised 4 hours in-person on Saturdays.

It was great to have a course at my level, with the flexibility to change intensity depending on my schedule. LTL’s teachers are excellent and have made learning Chinese very enjoyable!

Would recommend 10/10!
